To get behind the gear wheel I used pipe cleaning rods.

Get out of here!

Then oil it with cooking oil as well !

Only to recommend !

The cleaning of the coffee powder behind the drive gear wheel should be carried out at regular intervals, because
the coffee powder of
my Barista Twar is
so firmly pressed (after 2 years of operation) that the brewing unit could not be pushed completely into the machine and therefore the brewing unit
was not recognized. First I was shocked that the same problem occurred again after half a year. Then I got to know more about it in this forum.

Thanks to the forum with the tip to oil the drive pinion.biggrin.gif:D

Hi there, maybe you can help me...

... I cleaned my Melitta Coffee Barista TS coffee machine and took out the brewing group as usual. But now it can no longer be used. It doesn't go all the way in and therefore can't be locked anymore. Therefore, the machine constantly displays the error message "Brewing group missing".

The drive seems to be in the correct position, I have initialized it with the ON/OFF button and MY Coffee button. Everything also seems to be in the right place on the brewing unit itself. The machine is only 3 years old. I am at the end of my rope - do you know a solution?

TIA smile.gif

Hello,
so we had the same problem. We got a new brewing unit and tried to use it. In vain... so we called the hotline again, now it seems to be the rubber coupling. This one is really swollen. So the unit can't be put on or taken out anymore. Costs:1,95€...

Hi, first of all a huge thank you for the valuable tips. After fiddling for ages, I got it working via the micro switch.
Describing it now would be eternal text. per
PN on arapp.erfurt@gmail.com I can pass it on with pleasure.
If this should offend here against the etiquette, sorry. Just delete or info, then I still make photos and text.

Hello everyone, today I have disassembled our fully automatic. First decalcified, then cleaning coffee system and milk system. Then removed the brew group, cleaned and re-lubricated. However, when I put it back in, the locking lever won't move (dot is at 03:00). As soon as I press the red pin, I should be able to move the lever, but I can't! If I remove the brew group and press the 2 pins on the opposite side of the lever, I can also move the lever without any problem and bring it into the locking position. So the problem is with the insertion of the brew group. It makes it seem like it doesn't go in far enough to push the contacts....
I just can't get behind it....

My brewing unit has been very difficult to get in for a long time and now it won't come out. (I regularly put it in the forbidden dishwasher and clean everything thoroughly. Only I have never greased. (Unfortunately) well so read all the tips here. Nupsi was at 3 o'clock.... so reach through from the front and blindly pröckeln. There came some lumps of coffee after and narunter and then flupp brewing unit out. Thoroughly cleaned and greased. I confess I had no sunflower oil only rapeseed oil. Greased wheel and rails with it...and what can I say. Flupp brewing unit in...and the coffee runs without cracking and popping. Thank you!!!

Thanks for the tip with the cooking oil.

The correct basic position of the gearbox is illustrated here:
https://www.coffeemakers.de/wpcm/melitta-caffeo-nivona-caferomantica-brueheinheit-laesst-sich-einsetzen/

There is often a problem when removing the brew group.

With me helped a careful(!!) Wiggle from the outside on the brew group with a large screwdriver. To do this, the screwdriver was carefully (!!) levered into all common slots and slightly rocked until the brew group loosened.

Can't be, sber helped. cool.gif

Thanks for the tip! I used cheap sunflower cooking oil. It's still cracking. Where else can I apply oil to the brewing unit? How do I get to the control wheel on my Melitta Barista TS, Bz. behind the control wheel to remove coffee residue there? It would be nice if someone could help me.
In any case, have a nice day with coffee enjoyment.

I also had the problem with putting the brew group in. It was always difficult to turn the lever during the previous cleanings. Then at the last cleaning nothing worked. Brew group did not go in, could not be locked consequently. Point was at three o'clock. I then read here from the cooking oil, lo and behold, it slips. Super tip, thanks again for that. Workshop would have taken certainly right coal for the remedy.

Maybe it helps someone:

On my TSP, model F78-100, the brew unit was very difficult to insert for some time. Reset of the drive as described at Melitta FAQ with switching on and pressing "My coffee" + ON/OFF switch for 2sec resulted in system error 8.

The correct way for this model is described here:
/forums/...showtopic=15047

Success brought only the removal of the cover at the drive gear, cleaning the area behind it (apparently worth anyway times....) and then carefully apply silicone spray on drive gear and in the corresponding area of the brew group. Inside I have applied it by "spray on rag", in the recess of the brew group with the spray straw.

Thank you thank you thank you it worked. Had my brewing unit no longer unlocked and then pressed reset and it worked thank you thank you thank you. I am soooo happy tongue.gif

I had with our Melitta Caffeo Solo also nice often the trouble that the brewing unit jammed when inserting.
Meanwhile, I also know the tricks with the microswitch, which is hidden inside at the top right, to bring the drive axle in the correct position (with the grooves at 1 / 5 / 9 o'clock).

But sometimes that's not quite enough:
The brewing unit can be inserted (almost) low enough with a little pressure, but the swivel lever with the handle is still locked despite pressing the red button
.

I didn't use the oil trick mentioned above, but something else also helped:
The swivel lever is blocked by an elongated approx. 1.5 * 6 mm black plastic lug near the red button.
Pressing the brewing unit inwards at this point with a little more force was enough for our machine, so that the plastic lug finally came far enough out and the swivel lever could be folded down when pressing the red button.
This meant that the brewing unit was fully inserted again.

We just had the same problem and we tinkered forever and tried various key combinations. You won't believe what helped in the end - cooking oil. A little on a cloth and then wiped off the cog and recording and flubb - went on without a problem. Crazy. huh.gif

Super tip with the cooking oil.

Am thrilled have spent 2 hours to solve the problem, nothing but nothing has helped to get the brewing unit back in the machine but then I found your page and the tip with the oil, could scream with joy smile.gif

Best tip ever, the one about cooking oil.

After an hour of futile effort, I'm sitting there with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Have put the oil on the brew unit cog and several other places- and it works!

I am almost desperate, have cleaned everything and the brewing unit did not go in. but exactly as described, a little oil and it fluppt again! Am thrilled!
