Hello,

I'm afraid I'm at a loss and can't find the fault.
I have a few days ago my brewing unit removed and the machine to clean. This went very difficult, but then brought them out anyway. By tips here with the oil it also goes back in.

The problem is that now there is a loud bang as soon as the shaft goes up. The machine puts itself in the home position (MY COFFEE + ON/OFF).

Maybe someone has had similar or can help me analyze the error.

Attached also a video:
ErrorThanks

and greetings,
Fabian

Hello Fabian,

my Barista T behaves identically: First, the brew group could no longer be inserted, which I could also solve with some vegetable oil. After that, the bang described by you often happened when switching on the machine. Machine age approx. 3 years, 7000 brews.
It's clearly the brew group that's banging, and it's when the brown insert goes from tilting to moving upwards. This brown insert is guided with 2 metal (bronze?) bearing cubes that are about 1 cm edge length. I have re-lubricated these bearing cubes or their track with silicone grease (Q-tip), since then it seems to be quiet. I haven't found any real cause like wear or mechanical defect or wear, so I hope it was just a lubrication problem, which occurred almost at the same time as the other lubrication problem at the drive gear of the brew group. Post to see if that helps you too.

Well, wasn't the solution unfortunately, it still pops sporadically....
I suspect that over time the zero position of the drive pinion twists a few degrees, that would explain that the brew group goes in and out so hard and needs oil as a lubricant. Also, the movement of the brew group then no longer matches the drive 100% but comes a little too early (or too late). If then something in the machine is not yet in position, it bangs in the brew group, because something is blocked.
How can you adjust the Anrtiebsritzel?

So, problem identified - problem solved! The
bang occurs when the brew group with the coffee spout moves upwards. Due to excessive play (wear? poor design?) the brew group tilts a few degrees to the left, supported by the rotary motion of the drive spindle. Then the coffee spout, which moves up, has trouble finding its counterpart: Bang! If you wedge the brew group on the left side that it can't wobble anymore, everything works out without a bang.
I made and printed an STL file which you can use to fix the BG, any similar wedge or rubber foot/prop should work too.
You can find the file and pictures HEREIfyou
have a 3D printer or know of one, good luck! Without it
,

you'll just have to try around a bit until you find a good wedge

Your post is already over 1 year ago, but now it "pops" with my Melitta Barista TS every time I turn on. I have already cleaned the BG many times, since my Barista is already about 3 years old. I have saved your file for a 3D printer. At work we have a 3D printer, hope it prints me someone there.
Thanks for your hopefully successful tip and the file. rolleyes.gif

Thank you very much!

I ended up here via Google search because our barista TS was banging terribly loudly: It no longer sounded healthy. I printed out the part with my printer, installed it and since then I've enjoyed exactly the same background noise that the Barista TS produced when it was new.

The banging has completely disappeared.

Many thanks for this simple solution!
