Now have a few photos with description. Open is where the "unknown" sensor belongs, the "rest" of the electronics is hopefully correct. The tubing and the rest of the parts are still to be installed... Look at it...

If you mean the sensor in the last picture, that could be the water level sensor.
Does the machine have a float in the tank?
