ECAM 25.120 crashes when switched on + warning lights

Hello,

I've been the owner of the De'Longhi ECAM 25.120.B for about 4 years and so far totally satisfied, as it has done what it is supposed to do. Namely coffee.

For about 2 weeks now, the problem is that when I start the machine, it first moves the brewing unit into position and then starts rinsing. After 2-3 rinsing attempts, the machine starts to rattle or crash terribly loudly and then aborts the rinsing process. Finally, the pulp and warning triangle lights flash and the water tank icon stays on constantly.

When I switch the machine off and on again, it is a gamble whether I can rinse it or whether the same error as above appears.

I have already removed the brewing unit, cleaned it, checked for smooth operation. Everything works without problems. I also cleaned it from the inside as far as I could reach without unscrewing anything.
