Hello all,

Unfortunately the milk frothing function no longer works on our Miele CVA 7440 built-in machine. We have already disassembled, cleaned and reassembled everything several times.

Has anyone had similar experiences and a tip as to what this may be due to or if a hidden part needs cleaning?

Thank you and best regards
,Isabel

Best,

I have the exact same problem, I cleaned everything well but hardly any foam. The milk does squirt vigorously into the cup but hardly any foam is created.

If this continues I will contact Miele,

Hi Isabel,

Maybe the problem of frothing is the temperature of the milk. My milk temperature from the fridge is 5 degrees. The machine then has to warm it up so that the milk starts foaming. I suspect that this is too much warming up of the milk and the machine does not reach that. I have had an F82 error message twice at the end of heating the milk. This means that the machine is overheating.

Try offering the milk to the machine at a slightly warmer temperature, perhaps this will cause the machine to revert to its normal temperature.

The part is located on the electric ceramic valve.

I have marked it in the picture with an arrow. It is possible that it looks a little different in your case. There is a small plate with a very small opening in it. If this is closed, you will have problems with the milk foam.
