Hello, I have been reading for 7 months...

Today I want to write our experiences.

Since 11/2005 we have been enjoying the DeLonghi EAM3400.

Because of the display, but especially because of the 2nd thermoblock,
we have decided --with the help of the many revealing posts here in the forum--
for this machine.
I would be happy to recommend them to others.

>Our favourite coffees:
--Minges Cremano Gold and Tradition 1932
--Lazarro Espresso Bohnen
Other we are tasting them after about 25kg of beans.

We are a 4-person household. The machine is running at full speed.
Eben I've checked the coffee supplies
-just found the instructions here in the forum--
Plug out--->Menu+Change hold down--->Plug in, release buttons-->with Next checks change!

3600!! cups of coffee and 550L water at 12 decalcifications. Is the relationship -- Is it --??
Had only assumed, the information is incorrect, but...
those are "just" 20 cups a day. No problem for us. tongue.gif

Bither without disturbances.
We have little worries though:
---the water tank loses a few drops when taking out, is damp in the drawer;
---the Paranello outer sleeve is torn up, at the locking lug;

---the operating noise is not exactly quiet, though "booms" our machine while pumping. If I press the housing a little with my hand above the water tank----the vibrations are dampened--- is the roar gone.
Can anyone confirm that? Is sending it the only thing that helps? huh.gif

It's bedtime!

Good night

A nice father (party) day to all here on the board.

There is a possibility to plug a cappuccinatore on Delonghi?
The EAM3500 costs 300-400 Euronen more. We weren't ready to put that on.
Has anyone already had experience with a "foreign model"?

One beautiful day still...

Hi Winne,

until the sun was still shining, but now it is slowly closing and it doesn't look really good, at least no sunglasses weather cool.gif

>I bought the 3500 (cost about 250,- Euro more than the 3400 when I bought it, but it was more than a year ago) so I can't tell you if there is a cappuccinatore for your machines. Have you ever looked at the various devices in a shop? Maybe you can get something from Jura or Saeco? If I were you, I'd actually compare the models at a dealer and see if the connections are compatible.

We haven't regretted the extra expense for the 3500 for a moment, by the way. However, we almost only have mixed drinks running through smile.gif

>The water under the tank is also present in me. Seems to be constructional - where this water runs directly into the collecting bowl, so that?s probably how it?s supposed to be resp. it?s just not possible otherwise. But it's not worth mentioning in terms of quantity.

I didn't notice a humming noise with my DeLonghi, you've always heard it?

The descaling process is related to your water hardness, or how you gave it to the machine. Since we have extremely calcareous water here that has already cost many devices their lives, we take water for our DeLonghi Volvic. Therefore I lowered the hardness level and had to decalcify 2x first (with about 2000 covers).

A nice holiday! biggrin.gif

Hello guest,
thanks for the quick answer.

With us the middle/large coffee-black button is pressed predominantly. Mix only about 1/2x a day.
Shops with a "well sorted" espresso machine selection I do not have nearby. I don't think it's that easy to visually compare. I'm gonna go buy the Paranello from Walzer. Then go with it.

The humming, or rather the drone of the case, is not always the same. Sometimes pleasantly quiet, but almost always audible. I had had the machine at the dealer before. His service Franck in Berlin had sealed a screw connection because of the dripping inside. The boom sound reappeared a few days later. At times quite annoying! sad.gif

We also have extremely high degrees of hardness here. Is 28° DH !!!!!
Decalcification list due every 2 weeks. I hope that's enough. I'll test the Volvic alternative. How does this affect the taste?

Oh people, decalcify more often and leave the Volvic out of the game, that is poison for the members, because it is extremely sour.
Your machines will break with the Volvic water quickly than with limy water.

A good alternative is to filter the water with Brita. Then you can program the hardness grade 8 in the machine.

Volvic is recommended in many forums as an alternative to extremely hard water. Its pH value is 7 - so it is neutral and not in the acidic range! It is correct that some still water is in the acidic range, Volvic is not one of them.

How does Volvic affect the taste? difficult. I mean the espresso tastes better, spicier and fuller - but that's just my subjective opinion!! You just have to try it yourself. Get one or two bottles and test it smile.gif

Get a Karstadt in your area? They have a lot of machines on offer - you could have a look at the machines and the foamers (independent of any advice).

Hello,
mir is also the locking nose on the steam pipe broken off.
That was repaired by the company Walzer on guarantee within 4 days.
(Send in the machine unfree or have Walzer send collection slip.)
The tank loses a few drops when pulling out of the water tank.
The machine is not so quiet (booms), I can confirm that.
I can live with these little quirks.
Otherwise I am very happy.
Greetings
Ludger

Hello,
the drone is already extremely annoying at times. I'd like to ask Walzer about a remedy. And after a possibility to dock a cappuccinatore.
Conversions at coffeemakers, for example, are only possible under warranty.
Maybe there is an elegant solution....
Due to the dripping of the water tank I sometimes get the impression that the valve does not always close.
Morning is yes "Talk day". Wait and see.

Greetings
