Hello each other,

Since I succeeded with this forum to awaken a Krups to a new life, I would like to save it now as a replacement machine.

What do I have to do, empty steam, or filled with water, just as it is save. She won't get into the cellar after all.

Look forward to your tips.

Greeting Michael

I would fill the machine with clean (if possible distilled and boiled) water.
And in any case suck out all coffee powder residues beforehand -> grinder!
Storing it in the basement is of course very bad. Depending on the type of cellar, you'll get a nice musty smell in the machine. And spiders like to pull in tongue.gif

She won't get into the basement anyway. Since I have to be oxygenated, I have double-distilled, micro-filtered water. I need to oxygen humidify.
Must be best.

What's the point of filling the machine with water? In time, that'll evaporate anyway. And in all instructions to Jura (identical models like the Orchestro) you should dry the machine before a longer period of use, which sounds only logical to me.

As Gregor has already written, do not fill with water! The machine empty steam is the right way.

Well, whether you steam it out or not, it doesn't matter.
This is only to prevent the boiler from bursting in frost. I.e. in case of frost danger it would be important rolleyes.gif
But the machine won't get empty in any way...
I think it's very important to fill it with clean water, so that as little algae and reef as possible are deposited.

How do you want to fill the machine half full?

Was nonsense, didn't have to take so seriously. I already understood that correctly and did it exactly as you described it.
