I hope I helped people reprogram their coffee machines. I was able to fix mine. It's not my language and it's difficult to work manually. Greetings.

Good evening,

The coffee grinder quantity can be set as follows on models without display:

pull mains plug out
-coffee cake container, remove cleaning slide and water tank
-steam button held down and plug mains plug in
-steam button can now be released

-coffee cake container, Put the cleaning slider and water tank back in place
set the coffee quantity regulator to minimum
set the cup under the coffee spout
press the button for normal coffee
blue lamp for On/Off lights

-use the coffee quantity regulator button to set the meal time
-4,1s meal = control light On/Off lights up
-4,3s meal = control light coffee cake container lights up
-4,5s meal = control light water tank lights up
-4,7s meal = control light Clean lights up
-4,9s meal = control light Calc lights up

Then press the service button
unplug power plug

love Shaneya

Dear Shaneya,

We want to increase grinding time on our EA8000 and I follow your steps (thanks!). No problem (all the lights go on), until “press the button for normal coffee” when I guess all lights should go off except the blue on/of light. My machine has no response dry.gif and all lights remain on. Only when I push the steam button, all lights go off and there is no change when I turn the regulator....

Any expert insights?
Thanks!
Johan

Hello , I did so and now my Quattro Force no longer starts --- always wants to clean drawer --- I do not have that at all.

Is there a solution back -- or is the board flashed dead ?

Greetings Sebastian

Hello!
How to adjust grinding time on EA 815?
Having the same problem with grinding too long. There remains too much coffee waste in the tray.

Dear all.

I am having the same with an EA8150. This one has a display.
I think I am getting into some service display, but no idea how to adjust the grinder time.
It now is around 11 secs.
I also have a EA8000, older and much better coffiee, since the motor spins for around 14 seconds.

I have looked around the globe on internet, cannot find the settings, hope someone can help. I really like this type of machines.

Michael

try this

The sequence of actions for recalibration (found empirically, I could not google this information on the Internet). We enter the calibration mode as follows:With the machine completely without power:1. remove the water tank2
. remove the container for the bottom cake
and the top plate (if present). I don't remember what it was called correctly. 3. set the regulator to 20 ml4
. hold the
button for strong coffee pressure5
. hold the button and plug it into the power outletAll the indicators
on the typewriter light up. We put the water tank and the containers in place, turn the >/br> knob to the middle and try to clear the indicators.

There are variations possible, maybe not necessarily in the middle. The main thing is that the indicators go out. Or maybe it influences something. Like this or

so, but with the middle position I get the right result. Next, press the weak coffee button.
First you have to put the cup on the tray and >/br> release the steam outlet, also point it into the cup. First the machine will pour some water through the cup.
Then lower the plunger exactly flush with the rim
of this plate axis
down
. This is repeated a few times. Then all displays will go out. Press the weak coffee button again.
The machine will perform a similar operation again, after which it will fall into an error
- all indicators will start flashing.

Here I cannot be 100% sure. Maybe it is not an error, but rather a >/br>
signal that the calibration is finished.
In this state, the machine no longer reacts to keystrokes. We pull it out of the socket. We wait 5 seconds, plug it in. We turn it on normally. The power indicator flashes, the
boiler heats up normally.

We press the weak coffee button. The machine lowers the piston right to the middle again and brings it back. Then it makes a second attempt and this time lowers it all the way down. Finally everything returns to its original state and the >/br>
machine goes into stand-by. You can use it.
The result: when the coffee was weak, the grinder ran for 17 seconds, after recalibration
7 seconds.

With strong coffee, the grinder ran for 23 seconds, after recalibration 11

seconds.
Note: I am not claiming that the above actions are exactly a real recalibration. If anyone has service instructions, they should correct me about what is actually happening there. For me only two things are important
:1. As a result of the above actions the grinding time returns to normal2
.

Hello Guest
,first of all big THANK YOU for your description.
Did the machine have a cleaning slider above the marc container ?
My KRUPS EA81* no longer has a cleaning slider.
Due to the fact that I wanted to change the grinder times, the software was changed so that I had to install a micro switch for a non-existing cleaning slider parallel to the marc container micro switch and connect it to the 3-pin connector (top contact surface and middle contact surface). This enabled me to switch off the flashing of the two left Led's and to use the machine again.
Do you know a more elegant solution than my hardware solution ?

Greetings

Hi,

I do not understand how did you do to add a new micro switch and where and how it is installed.
After that you can choose the grinding time ?
My Krups is a EA81* with no display.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Thomas

Hi,

In fact a found the position of the cleaner slider. It 's the position 1-2 of J5 conenctor.
Indeed it's works, but I can't adjust the time more than 10s. It's not enought for strong coffee.

And we can adjust the same parameter during the reset procedure after turn off all leds by turning the buttom by pushing one of the buttoms, you can adjust the grinding time.
But before the grinding time was 14s or more I think and now it's 10s max :-(

Regards

Help please?

This morning, we went to make our coffees
But grinder whizzes arround but don’t going the beans.

Piston works as water, but grinder isn’t grinding the beans at all.

Once the whole cycle finishes, of course no coffee ground cakes exit, as no coffee is made.

Does anyone know of a trustworthy repairer please

Many thanks in advance

Ps who drinks instant?

Has anyone already solved the problem with the protective compartment? The same thing happened to me a week ago: Called up coffee quantity menu, couldn't find a save button and therefore unplugged again. Since then, "Reinsert protective container" has appeared on the screen. Even a reset to factory settings didn't help.

Is an ea82

Yes, I have managed it, namely the menu has to be executed again by pressing the program button with pulling the plug, then I inserted the waste container and pressed hot water, then a test menu appears in French, for production I assume, because various functions are switched on there I clicked through with the button where it went on because I have a problem with the language, but then it came to me that possibly google or Apple translator on the cell phone with the camera function can be used to translate. Attention in the bean container maximum beans for 1-2 cups, because at the end the grinder runs through, I could not stop it with the button, I let it run for about 2 minutes and since it could not be stopped with any button, I pulled the plug, then my machine started as usual. To call up the service menu on machines with a display, the rotary knob must be pressed instead of the program button when the plug is inserted. However, I was unable to adjust the time, but the amount of coffee can be set using a 12 mm thick and 30 mm diameter plastic disk.
