Hello,

I've had a Melitta Caffeo Varianza CSP F57 fully automatic coffee machine for 2.5 years, which received a 1.9 from Stiftung Warentest, and we are just as satisfied as the testers were. In the meantime, however, a problem has crept in that I need help with: For example, when I prepare a coffee with 220ml, only 150 to 170ml arrive in the cup. Therefore the pomace in the collection container is completely soaked. This is what it used to look like:Dry marc and this is what it looks like now:Wet marc I thought it might be the brewing unit that shows weaknesses after 3500 cups and I considered buying a set with seals etc. When I saw that there is an original and new brewing unit for just over 60 Euro, I decided to buy this one. An extensive set of seals costs 40 Euro and you don't know beforehand if the crucial part you need is included and you also don't know if you are unlucky when opening it and break any essential plastic nose and destroy the unit with it. --> Unfortunately this did not help. So I opened the machine in search of an obvious problem. I didn't take it apart completely, but I had some deep insights. (Enclosed are a few photos, since there is unfortunately not much help in opening the Varianza CSP on the Internet) At this point, a short praise from a hobbyist to the designers:The Varianza CSP is not easy to open, but the workmanship impressed me, e.g. the well thought-out cable routing and the use of high-quality cables. Also, from a mechanical point of view, I cannot understand why many people complain about the second bean inlet, "My Bean Select": the design is simple and functional. Does anyone have any experience, a tip or an idea why so much water ends up in the marc collection container instead of in the coffee cup? Rudi CSP1 CSP2 CSP3 CSP4 CSP5 CSP6 CSP7
