Greetings,
almost 3 years ago my parents gave me an old (think 10 years or maybe even more) EAM3300.
Somehow I have the feeling that the freshly brewed coffee is no longer coming out of the machine very hot and so I thought about replacing the thermoblock including the brewing piston.
About a year ago I did the last big maintenance of the machine here and dismantled, cleaned etc.
At that time I already noticed that the whole thermoblock is already covered with lime and the screws could not be opened to see inside.
The resistance measurement of the thermosensor showed at that time, however, that so far everything is ok, therefore, I have at that time apart from
the exchange because otherwise everything has worked perfectly.
Meanwhile the topic of the not so hot coffee doesn't really let me go anymore and therefore I would like to hear some opinions from you if an exchange makes sense in principle if the sensor is still ok?
Since I know myself that a remote diagnosis is always as good as impossible, I would like to clarify
the question a little more
: My assumption is that perhaps a strong lime deposit has formed inside and the heat simply can no longer be transferred to the water so well? After all, the sensor sits on the outside of the housing and is more likely to measure its temperature.
If I now decide to exchange the thermoblock including the brewing piston, maybe I can estimate if it makes sense to exchange other parts as well? Up to now no part had to be replaced (except of course seals) and still has original equipment.
I look forward to your opinions and tips. Greetings
,Tobias
