Hello all,

after successful problem solving here in recent years with various KVAs, I now turn with also with my Primadonna to you -
and although I know that with the mentioned topic already some will roll with the eyes, I have not even tried to
make
it
sound
particularly individual or
exciting wink.gif

First a question in advance: On or under the Primadonna is the designation "ECAM 556.65" - in the forum or spare parts I do
not
find this
information, but always only 556.55 etc. -. is this ".65" a special edition or was produced only for the Monaco market?

Now to the problem: The

supply of hot water does not work, came very suddenly and of course at an inopportune time (in the morning!)

.

Hot water seems to
run
directly into
the bowl, when milk is drawn, it steams out of the drip tray - the timed noise of the pump also seems to me to be quieter/weaker
.

(Pure coffee - reference works inconspicuously)

Had housing parts once dismantled, everywhere a little wiggled to it and the naked machine times to the current hung - milk / hot water functioned again

. Joyfully reassembled everything and ... nothing worked more. Actually clear that the KVA does not repair itself by the dismantling of the housing parts.

And since it unfortunately does not do exactly that, I would need some tips on where to start troubleshooting this coffee-giving marvel
, or what other information/tests/values you still need from me!

Many thanks in advance

...

Greeting from Ingolf

Addendum:

Started the test mode with the following result:

EV2 -> No reaction, no switching noiseEV1-EV3
-> Clicking noise audibleSteamer
->

No reaction, no switching noiseMotor
Up/Down-> Clicking noise audibleHeater->
No reaction, no switching noiseCappuccino

-> No
reactionLatte -> No reactionMilk->
Pump runningEspresso->
Grinder runningCoffee->
No reactionLong->
CupLight OnIn

EV2 a noise should be heard whrs. A noise should be heard, should be a solenoid valve, right?

Does anyone know what should have happened during the functional tests where I noted "no reaction" above?

GreetingsIngolf

Hi,

do not really know the model. But if the water runs into the drip tray, then it may be that a solenoid valve is defective and the water then runs over the valve into the drip tray.
Now you have to see why. Whether a solenoid valve for hot water/steam does not open or something is calcified.
It's best to let the machine run with the valve open until the error appears.
How old is the machine? No more warranty?

Hey,

I will test everything without the housing - the test mode could actually indicate a defective valve (EV2).

Warranty probably no longer, bought 06/2019- although DeLonghi has
automatically granted 5 years warranty
for all purchased before 31/12/21 devices
, but not on wear parts such as valves, etc..
In addition, the warranty expires at a high number of coffee purchases (>5000?), theThema
I already had with a previous DeLonghi and also with a Melitta CI
.

Could the KVA of course under warranty send in, check and then
repair with the help of the created cost estimate itself - but I had
both predecessor machines already, the Rparaturauftrag included pretty much all components
that should be renewed smile.gif

The valve shown in the picture (to which the black hose is connected) shows zero ohms, so no resistance-at the
others I get a value of 2.14 ohms, so should be the cause.

Maybe someone else can confirm that this valve is indeed for hot water/milk?

Great, Complete valve replaced or just the coil?

Hello, I have exactly the same problem!
EV2 does not switch in test mode....

What is this component? Anyone have a link to it?

Best regards
