Model: KRUPS Espresso Novo 2000 (Type 988 )
Hallo,
(is not VA, but should be the same as the KRUPS VA´s in terms of steam) so far, I have only rarely prepared cappu with my KRUPS Espresso Novo 2000 (Type 988 ). The last time was about two years ago. Now war´s once again so far, but no steam. It's not a fully automatic machine, but I don't want to throw away my companion who's been loyal for 9 years. After 8 1/2 years I changed the pump to a ULKA. So far I have only decalcified at the espresso cover level, not the steam nozzle. But it's free. Now I have even unscrewed the steam lance.
Fault description:
The following phenomenon occurs:
- Machine, heating lamp goes out after approx. 30 seconds (= heated)
- Selector switch to steam: nothing
- Selector switch for 1...2 seconds on espresso
- after that directly on steam: Full steam for approx. 3...5 seconds
Have I assembled/connected something wrong with my instant water heater
Today I have checked the 2 microswitches for continuity (assignment vlnr):
(rear) microswitch coffee supply:
- only 1 (grey) and 2 (white) occupied
li>li>selector switch coffee supply: continuity- selector switch off or steam supply: no pass
(front) microswitch Steam draw:
- 1 (blue), 2 (white), 3 (grey) occupied
- >Selector steam draw: 1-2 pass, 1-3; 2-3 no pass
- selector off or coffee draw: 1-2; 2-3 no pass, 1-3 pass
