Right, the new version of us (Melitta CI 2017) doesn't have this key anymore.
It is important in which order the keys are pressed!
First hold "MY" then "ON" and briefly at the same time; then the machine starts to adjust. Then you can let go.
The brewing group did not fit in my machine either. Only on the second try did it work, because I carefully pushed the brewing group in during the adjustment process and then everything was perfect.
The original error was: switched on in the morning; red error message "System error 8" (PS: new machine! 100 covers)I switched off, cleaned everything, took out the brewing group and...
then the problem: brewing group does not fit in anymore!

I had to press my first and then the on/off switch, and then it worked.
