Hello,

After shipping my coffee machine Melitta Caffeo Barista in a plane, it stopped working. I turned it on and I realize the rinsing program was not pouring water on the front but rather realising steam from the top and dropping water from the bottom of the machine. I have opened the machine and realize that the water is leaking on a pipe X-connection in the top of the coffee machine. I have a video and picture of it attached. Any help with how to fix it it is really appreciated!

Thanks

Since you have already localized the leak, you just have to look where exactly the water comes.
The part is called the outlet valve. Is the water coming from there or from one of the connections?
Is an inlet cracked or just a broken seal?

Google for "Melitta 6715854" This is the outlet valve.

Thank you so much!

The water seems to leak from the pipe/valve union:

In that case, should I buy a new outlet valve and a new pipe?

Please, do you know how to unmount it? or any video/post to do it?

Thanks!

Remove the screw and bracket. Then you can see whether something is broken or just the seal is defective.

Thanks for your replies.

I am not able to reach the outlet valve, as it sits under some plastic cover which I don´t know how to remove: outlet valve cover

The Pink Arrow is the outlet valve. You must remove the bracket (red Arrow). Then you can revove the outlet valve.

Thank you!

As the water is leaking from the red arrow connection, I was wondering if I should replace both parts: the outlet valve and the one before which I don´t know the name: https://photos.app.goo.gl/eVmn3PaVwWeeqx5QA

Does anyone know the part number of that grey plastic connection?

Thanks!

I have cleaned the parts with hot water and later with vinegar. After that, I mounted then back in the coffee machine but unfortunately, the leakage is still there. I have ordered the new parts and waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

Thanks again for the help.

Hi!

Unfortunately the problem still persist after exchanging the outlet valve, brackets and rings. It looks like the water is leaking from Melitta 6715861 instead:

Any help or suggestions are very welcome!

Thanks!

Have you replaced the seals? Is the leak in the middle of the new part?

The ring seals are new. The water is leaking before entering the outlet valve which is new as well.

Finally it is working! After installing the new parts (Melitta 6715861 + ring seal ) it is not leaking any more.

Thank you everybody for their help.
