Hello
,I have the following problem. For some time I have been playing around with a Krups EA9078. I have already replaced some things, after I had changed all the seals, I had to end now completely change the brewing unit. Already after the seal replacement of the brewing unit, I noticed that I could no longer perform a calibration (previously was it always Wrong - the menu has displayed incorrect values after the measurement).

I go to the service menu, go to "Activate and Calibrate" but the measurement always gives a thickness of zero.

Also when I select validate sensor, the plunger goes down and shows zero and when it arrives on the 13.5mm cake tool. At the top of the brewing unit is such a "cage" in which is a sensor that indicates how far down the piston is.

Also this sensor I have already ordered new and replaced, but I still do not get calibrated...

Does anyone have an idea what else this can be? Did I forget anything during installation?
I have also already changed the circuit board ...

I do not know any further....

Hi, you need to try other thicknesses from 15mm and smaller.
Recently, I noticed that in my EA85 the thickness sensor is INHIBITED and the coffee cake is 15-16 mm thick (with the weakest coffee set, one bean) so first I used the Validate Sensor option by inserting a 12 mm tool and as a result I received 7.10 mm the highest point and 10, 35mm lowest so I added 3mm together with 15mm tool getting result 7.10mm 7.65. After this procedure the sensor was already active and I didn't have to use Activate and Calibrate option.
