any of you know where the exact difference between the two devices is?
fit under both devices Latte Matchiato glasses in or are there restrictions and how high may the glasses be on the two machines.
switch the two devices to standbye or run all the time on full power?

The 6700 has a new control menu here the choice is confirmed with a touch menu with the 660 there are normal keys to press.
With the 6700 larger cups can be used.
With the 660 are about 13-14cm.
The 6700 has a so-called surge brewing function.
This is very similar for a normal filter coffee cup because the coffee powder is brewed several times.

10,5 cm are not much for a cup of coffee or Latte Macchiato.
Then the ESAM 6700 or is there another comparable Delonghi?

No, actually not only with the Primadonna 6600 and/or 6700 it is possible to prepare cappu and latte etc. at the push of a button without moving the cup (oneTouch)The new Inensa 23450 can only prepare cappu as OT
