Hello,

I have a Delonghi EAM 4000B from 2006, the first thermoblock was over in 2013. Then I installed another new EAM thermoblock. Now the 2nd thermoblock was over in 2019.

I got myself an ESAM thermoblock this time because I thought it would be better. The EAM like to leak.

Now I have installed this without any problems. Just had to remove a plastic pin. Apparently the seals on the Raccords have been improved. And the ESAM has 1200 watts to the 1000 watts from the EAM.

Now I switched on the machine and the fuse (main switch) was blown out.

Is it not so easy to install the ESAM Thermoblock in an EAM device? And what else would I have to trade? The power board? The question is whether I can get an EAM thermoblock or other components from an ESAM device.

An ESAM thermoblock can be installed in the EAM.
A screw may have to be shortened because of the drive. Why the fuse flies, you have to
look.

Think you bought a complete one with cable and temperature sensor. It should fit without problems and also go.

I'

ve swapped EAM's several times

before.

Hello,

Yeah, it was one with thermal fuses and NTC. One hears different information about whether the ESAM block can also be installed in an EAM device. Obviously, it can be installed, but not operated. 2x600W are just not 1000W. I guess that's why the fuse's blown.

I bought another new EAM block and installed it today. Now I get the same error message again.

Did you check the old TB to see if it was defective?
Between 1000 watts and 1200 watts there are about 0.8-0.9 amperes with which the triac is loaded more. I understand there's a 16 amp triac in there.
That's
enough
for me.

You wrote that the ESAM TB blew out the fuse

?

And with the EAM TB the lamps and the fault flash? Was the EAM TB complete with all cables

and NTC?

Did it

take the

fuse or the FI

?

But then the parameters and temperatures or heating times are no longer correct. You'd also have to change the software.
