I had the problem out this morning.

A small silver magnet is missing, which is put into the lid. You can see it from outside. It is stuck in the black "nose" of the container.
If it's not there,
you
have
only one hole! The

magnet serves

as a contact

for the machine

.
I found the magnet in the dishwasher. It was hanging from
a basket.

Meeeeeegaaaaaaaaaa!!! Thank you very much for the help... ONLY that I can't find the magnet anymore. I do very little with the milk container, so I do not know where to look anymore... Now I don't know where I can get such a thing... I'll have to buy a complete new system, willy-nilly or not, with very high probability

Thanks for the important info. Had the same problem today. Coffee maker was supposed to go through the descaling program and got stuck in the program when asked to clean the milk container. This message could not be deleted again. Only a test with a magnet could give me the certainty that it is actually due to these small magnets.
