Hello,
is new in the forum and since 3 days proud owner of a Gaggia Titanium.
I have taken the brew group for cleaning and now I wonder if I have to remove something from the brew group during the cleaning in addition.
Is it just enough to rinse everything with water.......especially the sieves I can see?????
Would I be very happy about a short info.
Otherwise I am very satisfied with the Gaggia.
Greeting yaahmann

Hello,

Congratulate is a super nice machine!

At the brewing group (is the same as from Saeco) you can still unscrew and clean the upper brewing sieve.

Hello ( Rudi )

I am unsure about unscrewing the sieve.................
In the instruction manual which you can download at Gaggia.de it is also described that you can unscrew the sieve with a supplied tool.
In the instruction manual which was with the device this point is no longer in the description and there is also no tool occupied.
Event there has been a change in the design.

But that's for sure. The sieve should only be tightened with feeling during assembly, simply turn the black knurled screw at the top without tools until the sieve is no longer loose. Some tighten it with the tool, which quickly results in the threaded bushing coming out of the knurled screw.

So.........I sent a mail to Gaggia and got the following answer:

In the meantime, findings have shown that regular external cleaning with clear water is sufficient. Therefore the key is no longer included.

Friendly regards

"...in the meantime..." biggrin.gif

This brewing group has probably been built unchanged for 20 years. It is possible that regular use of cleaning tablets makes the disassembly of the sieve superfluous, I personally prefer to disassemble too much rather than too little for cleaning.

No no coffee, should be clean wink.gif In the menu you will find the cleaning program which pumps water through the BG at short intervals and dissolves the tablet slowly.

I got a tip from a specialist!

Dismantle the tamper screen and clean it. Place the whole brew group overnight in a bucket of dissolved detergent. Removes all the dirt ... only flush very well before installation !
