Hello,

>bought me a Siemens EQ.5 Macchiato Plus on Monday.

After commissioning according to the instruction manual I was very surprised how fast you get to your first coffee.

Leider this did not meet my expectations regarding temperature in any way. Since this did not improve even after some cups, I measured the temperature once with a kitchen thermometer.

More than 65 degrees were not displayed.

The dealer exchanged the vending machine on request directly and without problems against another device.

I also have the same problem with the new device. The coffee just doesn't reach the temperature you'd expect from a freshly brewed coffee.

May someone be able to help me solve this problem?
May someone have the same problem already.

Thank you for your help right now.

allo,

is the temperature also high ?
Is the cup preheated?
Helps can also be used if the pipes are preheated briefly by drawing hot water.

Hello,

thank you for the answer.

I have set the temperature directly to "high" as a precaution.

As I mainly prepare my breakfast coffee with the machine, I unfortunately have no time to warm up the cups.
I also don't think it's acceptable if you have to preheat the tubes of a machine for about 700 Euro to get coffee at an acceptable temperature.

My expectation is that you get a good cup of coffee from the first cup.

I wasn't used to such a thing from my former 10 year old machine (AEG).

Hello, I just read your articles because I have the same problem! For 700€ the coffee is simply not hot enough for me, especially with milk drinks. Was just in the market and talked to my (very nice) salesman about the problem. He said there is a remedy (only he is not allowed to tell me about it because of warranty!): You can increase the outlet temperature by about 8 degrees! in a technician's submenu... If the over-temperature protection is triggered, the machine must be sent in! So you should try it in the warranty period, and test a reasonable value (and of course before sending in do not forget to reset the old value, otherwise the warranty will be rejected!!!). Nuuur: How do you get into this damn technician menu??? I've already googled, but can't find anything...

We have the same problem with our EQ5. After making two cafe crema, I froth up the milk and add it. Then I put the two cafes in the microwave for 30 seconds. It's not nice, but we like the coffee now. He's always hot enough. :-)

Hello Caffeine Junkies tongue.gif,

Short status report regarding the temperature at my EQ5 M.Plus:
Having the KVA now over 3 months.
Up to the first Calc'n'Clean prompt, the coffee was warm-hot (at brewing stage HOT). I also prewarmed the cups.
Since this first Calc'n'Clean process "I burn" my tongue (and fingers). In the morning usually a large cappu or a small or medium latte in the glass...the glass is HOT after each brewing, the drinks too.
The latte is hardly drinkable with a drinking straw, because of the HIGH temperature!

A little tip on the side (maybe it also plays a decisive role):
After switching on the KVA for the first time the machine rinses. Most of the time I start another process "flush device". The EQ5 is rinsed with warm/hot water.
Bin is convinced that this will increase the temperature for the following brewings.
On the subject of milk foam: It is nice and creamy, the heated milk at the bottom of the glass is hot! The foam itself cannot be hot, otherwise there would be no milk foam (at too high a temperature).

Hoffe to have helped you.

PS: Fast supplement:
It is 14:13 o'clock local time in Munich,
Large cappu stands in the glass beside me. Burning hot. Goodbye. laugh.gif

It's all well and good, I've also created a remedy for myself, only why so awkward when it's also easy ... With milk drinks you can still understand it, because the cold milk from the Kühli must first be heated in a continuous flow heater. But the coffee itself can be hotter, especially if you put a big sip of milk in it (without Mirko!). It can't be decalcifying, but I usually do it BEFORE the device asks for it. Well, maybe I'll have to send them in after all. If anyone knows how to get into this technician menu, please report!!!

Hello together

We are thinking about buying an EQ5 plus, but we still have a question....can I just let milk foam out? Or is it only possible with Latte Macchiatto?

Greetings

Kinsella

@Kinsella:
JA, you can also make ONLY milk foam. Without coffee program.
