Gaggenau CMP250

Cleaning problem

I have a Gaggeanau CMP250 cleaning issue. Step 5 of the cleaning instructions says to put a cleaning tablet in the ground coffee drawer. When I do that the tablet just drops through and ends up somewhere in the back of the machine. I'm sure I have missed something. Please help!!
