Dear coffee experts,

I also needed a 5000a after I read a lot of good about it. The machine I bought makes a good impression but unfortunately I can't make coffee with it yet. After the unit has been switched on, the self-test + heating phase starts. Then the piston and the coffee swivel (or whatever it is called) move endlessly up and down. I've learned that this process usually happens once at the start. This is repeated endlessly in my case. I'm afraid I can't get any further in the program. Has anyone ever had this problem or a hint how I could solve it? Would be very grateful for an answer.

Greetings

David

This procedure is not normal when switching on, otherwise only the brewing group is brought into the basic position when the machine has been switched off during operation.

If the brewing group is already in the basic position it is not moved.

Check the actuation and feedback of the two Hall sensors which are screwed to the rear of the brewing group drive, I assume that the one for the basic position is defective. That would be the upper sensor.

Thanks for the answer. Found the mistake last night. The transport has caused a plug to come loose on the circuit board. Now running properly.
