I need help with a JURA J7.
The J7 is relatively rare to find on the market, and therefore probably not represented in the forums
The machine is about 6 years old and has a touch screen with white backlighting.the function of the sensor fields is given, only all symbols flicker with different intensities. this goes from normal continuous lighting, to total darkness. The display module costs almost 300 Euro, which is definitely too much for me.
Were really grateful for a hint. Please no hint, I should exchange the display module, but only serious information. Thank you so much for your trouble. rolleyes.gif

That thing can be opened for sure. Partially clipped and definitely a few screws. You will then see how the actual display is connected to the board. Often about 7-10 gold-plated rectangles are connected with a pressed-on conductive plastic strip. Lightly rub the gold-plated contacts with isopropyl alcohol, as well as the plastic strip. The plug contacts leading to the display could also have bad contact. - So take everything apart carefully. Then you'll see what you can do.

Many thanks to HWS for the tips.
Reply me again when I have tried it out. I'm afraid it won't work out this week.

Please describe your case in the Komtra Forum, I'm actually on my way there. The display can/must/should be completely reconditioned, replace electrolytic capacitors and all LEDs. Without proper equipment, keep your hands off!
