Hello dear Forum,I have a Siemens EQ7 Plus. The following problem: The last cups with coffee became less and less water in which the cup was let in until suddenly nothing worked anymore. A hot steam
rises
from the machine, dry coffee powder lies in the

collecting container and the

water now only runs into the collecting container.
After research on the net
, a brewing unit and a new ceramic valve were installed

.

Now the

machine sounds normal again but the

water

is still running

into the collecting container

and meanwhile the

heater

seems to be overheated

by constant

trying, because no more hot water is produced.
Can anyone please give me a hint if it
could be
the pump
or did I do

something

wrong

with the assembly of the ceramic valve

? Would be grateful
for any help
. Thank
youBest regardsNiko

Hello, Niko,

for EQ7 there is a detailed Service Manual : Service Manual EQ7

To test the pump thoroughly, go to the Service Menu (SDS), start up the brewing unit, move the CV valve to position 6 (brewing), then control the pump. ( Described from page 80 )

Now 50ml should come from the coffee spout.
If the heater was overheated, probably the thermal fuse has blown, I haven't found it yet. ( There are however enough topics in the forum over
this problem )
I hope you hereby something further helped
.
Greetings Alex

Hello, Alex,

Thank you so much for your cooperation. I'm already very desperate with this machine.
The pump
can be controlled and it comes 50ml. Water out. I mean, I can rule them out? The heater doesn't work, though.
So
this one's probably broken? The
problem is that the water
always

goes

directly into the collecting container

.

A

few days ago, however,

steam

still came

from the milk froth nozzle

, whereby the device

seemed very hot to me from the inside.
So will the heater
be
the solution to
my problems?

Already replaced the brewing unit and the ceramic valve

, but without

success.

I am

reluctant to avoid further costs that do not

lead

to success

...
Best regards

Niko

Hello, Niko,

via the SDS menu you can test all components. If the water comes out in test mode as described in the instructions, the ceramic valve is correctly connected. According
to your description I suspect the thermal fuse of the
heating element has burned through.

How it came to the failure sounds however unfortunately for me

from the distance not so good.

I also had an EQ7 that always heated ( triac of the

motherboard defective ).

An EQ5

that pumped

only coarsely ground coffee

, etc.

If you have a multimeter, you can also

measure

the heating

.

It also makes sense to read out the Error Log and Memory Log

. I have been

lucky enough to have two almost identical machines with me several times, then you can test the components crosswise.

To

say only about remote diagnosis: Exactly only the part is defective, is unfortunately very

difficult

with your error picture

.

Hello and good evening, thank you very much for your answer. I'm really desperate here. There's a new heater inside and it's heating up again. When I removed the old heater I first met a load ofBeiges stuff from the heater. I think it should have been lime? The problem is still that the water runs directly into the collecting tank. This one comes from the wise box. And although I have cleaned everything with compressed air, I find such beige particles in the collection container after every run with the puppet test.
What else can it be?

At least a few drops come out of the milk foamer in the beginning, after that there is only
hot steam when I try to let hot water come out.

Hello, Niko,

it sounds like your new ceramic valve has clogged with the lime from the heater. Either disassemble or try again with descaler to get the ceramic valve through.
