Hello repair fans!
I find Marianne33's questions and answers very informative. But, as it is, no two mistakes are the same.
The machine came through my front door with the words "Papa, she no longer makes foam". Machine switched on and nothing happened (the rear toggle switch was on). Now the pump measured - display remained on 1. New pump inserted - machine still mute. Current is applied to the power board. Then I unsoldered the capacitor X2 MKP/SH 40/100/21/B and measured it. Since there was no passage to measure, one exactly the same one soldered by Conrad. After all, great disappointment. An examination of the solder joints with a magnifying glass showed nothing conspicuous. The machine does not click or clack and does not talk to me. Next I have the transformer in suspicion.
Otherwise I am with my little Latin at the end and hope for further tips from your rows.
For your time for my problem I thank you in advance.
Many regards

I had forgotten to tell you that the menu keys were stuck together by baking dough or the like and did not come back. So several menu keys were pressed simultaneously.

Has something changed?
How is it when switching on the KVA an intalization drive is made?
Exchanging components on rough suspicion can become an expensive pleasure.
As a small tip I can help you with the Kaf...-World..
There are more Delonghi specialists on the way.

MfG Chris

So it looks like the fault is in the electronics board. But from a distance, you can hardly give any useful advice. A capacitor of the type described above has no passage if it is healthy. You can take a look at the board to see if you can find a charred VDR or PTC or NTC. A VDR must not have a passage. PTC and NTC must have passage. Very well possible that the defect on the circuit board was caused by the glued keys. As a solution, a used circuit board would also be an option on Ebay.
