Function lower brewing piston

Hello
,can someone please explain to me how the lower brewing piston is transported upwards to eject the coffee cake? What part does this and how is it driven?

Under the machine is a lever. This will activate automatically when the piston is down (steel lever). This lever takes piston when going up. the cake is also thrown out by 2nd lever PVC.
Ea9000 unscrew 4 bolts bottem. You see working

I think mine is leaking from this part.. what the easiest way to access it and replace the gaskets?
