Hello dear coffee lovers,

I have received from my father-in-law a Defeket EQ.6. It always showed when starting the restart must be or that I call the customer support.

However, I did not want that and opened the machine according to instructions, I removed the grinder and in this case it was sooty.

To that end, it makes a clicking noise when it starts:

Is this normal that the grinder motor is sooty and where if any the clicking noise is coming from.

Maybe you can help me. I thank you already!

The coffee machine has made the clicking noise even before taking it apart.

Yes, this is normal, because the grinder motor has carbon brushes which wear logically as with any other brush motor...Depending on the coffee strength, the motor brushes are then completely worn between 12000 and 18000 coffees and should be replaced. The are very easy to replace, are only pressed down with a spring arm in each case. If the motor is already open, renew in any case equal....simply google for motor carbons for Bosch Vero models...ca.10-15€.

Thank you for the information. I thought something like that and the coffee machine had already gone through about 20,000 cups.

But is the noise from the machine normal?

The painting I have now cleaned and just waiting for an answer, to the noise and hope that he works again after cleaning.

Think the noise could be the microswitches from the ceramic valve going over and not being detected because defective...it's not the grinder, in my opinion, as it runs normally....eher towards the ceramic valve.

Swolle thank you for your tip.

The microswitch, you probably can't fix that easily, so it will probably have to be a new ceramic valve.

Thank you
