Delonghi Ecam20 brewing unit inserted the wrong way round

The brewing unit of our Delonghi Ecam20 was inserted incorrectly (apparently by force) by a colleague - it can no longer be removed. The red triangle lights up red continuously. Nothing can be heard when switching on and off - the brewing unit is stuck and can no longer be removed.
Does anyone know a solution?
