Hello,
our machine feeds beans, grinds them normally (by ear) and then cancels the process with the message "bean compartment empty". The quite dry tabs can be found in the collection container. Also seem to have a normal size.
Coffee prepare over powder tray goes without problems.
Who knows advice?

I'm guessing it's a "no name" coffee machine? Because the category "Coffee & Co." has nothing at all to do with any machines.

If possible look under the machine or see if something can be screwed on somewhere. Often there are still old stickers where you can still find out who the manufacturer or distributor of the device was...
Then perhaps suggestions can be posted here. Or upload a picture. Maybe somebody recognizes what kind of device it is...

Ne soybean mill won't be, or?

EDIT: Rudi was faster and is always so eerily direct laugh.gif

Miele Cm 5100 has the same technology as Siemens Surpresso etc.

The message "Fill beans" is triggered by a microswitch that measures the fill level in the brewing unit.

Either the microswitch is faulty or internally dirty or the flag on the brewing unit that triggers the switch is wrong which is not.

Or too little coffee is actually ground.

The most likely is a fault on the microswitch, which only costs a few euro.

Please have a look at the instructions of the Siemens Surpresso at the BND coffee studio... the overview to open the device and where the components are installed.

Do you trust yourself to screw on your device, otherwise it makes no sense anyway

Hello Martin,

thank you very much for your help. I am equipped with the instructions and will look into the vending machine tonight "Inside Life".

How can I tell if the micro switch is broken?

It's hard to tell and it's hard to check. But it costs only about 3 euro and is often the cause..

So it's worth to change it

Hello Martin,

>over the holidays we finally managed to open the coffee machine biggrin.gif
But we can't find the microswitch sad.gif where to look, what does it look like and where can we get the new one?

We looked at the microswitches from Siemens, but couldn't find anything similar in our machine.

If you look at the instructions at the BND coffee studio then choose the instructions for the Siemens Surpresso... And since the overview of the installed parts...

>You should find what you are looking for.

The microswitch we are looking for is operated by the approx. 2 cm long flag, which is located at the top of the brewing unit. The flag protrudes into the appliance when the brewing unit is installed.
