Melitta TS | What kind of part is that?

Hello and good day,

I found the rubber part, obviously a seal, in the drip tray.

What kind of part is this and how can I put it back in the right place?

Can the fault be related to the fact that no more water/coffee comes out of the spout and runs into the drip tray instead?

Sorry for the questions, but I'm not that technically savvy and hope to find answers here in the forum.

Could be the rubber that sits at the top of the brewing unit. If it is, the question is how it can fall out. It normally sits in a guide and is held in place by the two halves of the brewing unit.

If you could post a picture of the rubber, you could also tell whether it is the part I mean.

It is the seal / molded seal (left) for drip tray.
