Hello dear forum members,
I'm new here and need the help of the hobbyists among you!

My Nespressomaschine KRUPS XN 2001 I can switch on normally, it heats up and the right green button stops flashing.
When I press on it now however it pulls water (1-2sec.)
and switches off completely. mad.gif The left power button is no longer lit.
When I turn on the machine normally again the right button lights up and the game can start again....
Every time I press the "water-march-me-will-espresso-button "so there are only 5 drops of water then the machine is off sad.gif

> Does anyone know this problem and can you fix it?

Freu me about every answer, except the one that I should throw away the good part biggrin.gif

Many thanks already!!!

Hello Gittili,

badly I have no idea about capsule vending machines. But the whole thing sounds like an electrical or electronic fault. Either a defective sensor / fuse or another electronic component. A safety shutdown then takes place, the machine goes off. It is best to open the machine and check or measure the components. There can't be much electronics in there.

hello rudi-03,

ja I also suspected that it was something electronic, especially since the light of the button gets weaker when the machine has heated up.

Maybe someone knows the problem just as well as ebay machines with exactly this defect are offered and offered on ebay.

The forum is called fully automatic coffee machines, but I came across you because my machine is called here:

Krups Nespresso Essenza XN 2001 (Manual)

I'll have to open the machine but first make a tool for these stupid oval head screws mad.gif . I am an optician and fine mechanical fit but all tools I do not have at home.
And then I hope that the electrics is clear and I find the mistake....
or that some nice forum member can tell me what I have to do exactly.

Thank you rudi for your answer,
early tomorrow I have to drink soluble coffee to wake up,
that may be a day... blink.gif

Yeah, yeah, those oval-head screws. Normally you don't have a wrench like that at hand. The following has proven to be useful for handicrafts: Squeeze a thin sheet metal tube with an inner diameter of approx. 4-5 mm with pliers until the desired shape is achieved. Trying it with a pair of pliers doesn't usually work, and there are lots of loud curses (your own experience).
If you can't get any further with your inner life, you can upload a photo. Or attach several photos to a .zip file. Then you can have a look at it in peace.
In any case also check the waterways. Coffee leftovers may have clogged something somewhere.

Hi Peter,
here's Gittili. I'm the one who had the problem, Rudi answered me nicely.
no, I couldn't solve the problem. In the electric everything was ok, as far as I could see, but the assumption it could clog coffee residues a little bit made sense to me. The pressure then becomes too high and the machine switches off.
However, I would have had to take the whole machine apart for it, that was not possible for me at that time therefore I bought ´ne new XN, because there were there just for little money and with new purchase there is always ´nen voucher for capsules...
Warscheinlich not that what you would like to know straight, but with Media Markt this machine gives evenly for 69Euro. If you remove the free capsules, which you get with the enclosed voucher, it costs you almost nothing more...
Yes, I know, that is not the sense and purpose... mad.gif

>Interesting was my phone call with the technician of Nespresso,
who literally implored me to decalcify the machine!!!!
Even when I told him that we had the softest water in all of Germany and that there was no lime in our country (yes, that's really true!!) he told me to decalcify it UNNOT CONDITIONALLY... img src='/forums/html/emoticons/blink.gif' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' />
My guess and food for the conspiracy theories of this world:
....one of these electronically built in "broken" functions"??????
I haven't done anything to my machine anymore, it's been in the basement ever since.
If you, possibly with the help of the nice Rudi rolleyes.gif Your good Krups could repair say hello, maybe I'll make myself over it..
Much success and very dear greetings from Gitti.

Hello Gittili and Peter,

I felt the same problem too. I have been able to solve this myself without service from Nespresso.
My German is not quite good, so I recommend reading the last note at http://rolfje.wordpress.com/2011/08/27/how...presso-machine/ (in English language)
