I also had the problem of ground powder falling out from underneath the powder drawer and out the side of the machine.

After some back and forth, I found the problem and the solution
:Over time, powder from the grinder collected in the hopper and did not fall completely into the brew group. Once it was completely clogged, the powder was forced out via the drawer.
Solution: remove the brew group and use your finger or a brush from the bottom of the housing to clear the area between the grinder/powder drawer of powder residue. In my case, a lot of fresh coffee powder came out, and there were also remnants of cleaning tablets from previous cleanings.
The powder drawer can also be carefully pulled out completely by pressing up on the side tab, in order to clean this area as well.
Prevention: Whenever cleaning the machine, also clean the area above the brew group between the powder drawer and the coffee grinder.

Afterwards, the coffee tasted wonderful again.

Well, I always wondered why that was. I thought I was doing something wrong.
I noticed it today in particular.
Today I finally googled it. Thanks for the tip. ????

For anyone wondering: this thread is recommended.

Have a EQ6 Plus 100, and this is one of the problems Ive had that is now solved. smile.gif

Other main problem is inconsistens coffe-in-cup colume. Iva had 2 similar maschines before that worked flawlessly, so not sure if this is just “my problem”.
Anyways, the coffee is great!

best wishes guys and gals

Hi,
Thanks for the helpful contributions in advance and all the best to everyone here for 2024.
When I opened the inspection hatch this morning to rinse the brew group as I do every morning, I was met with ground coffee.
Honestly, who needs this on a Monday morning???
I've had this happen before. It happens when the cleaning tablets haven't completely dissolved. It has become a Sunday morning ritual for us to clean the machine. One run with the cleaning program with tablets, one run without. Then check the brew group for residues.
And this was NOT done yesterday because everything had to be done quickly. Nothing about a second run, let alone a check.
You know the rest. So I got a vacuum cleaner, vacuumed up the coffee powder and used a bottle brush to clear the inlet nozzle. There was no end to it. That must have been 6-8 servings, if not more.
I only have ONE question: what the hell did we drink???
Hardly any crema and taste?! The taste buds are probably degenerated with a cold.
Have fun and stay healthy.
LG
Walter
