With our Miele CM5100, the mill is always running, even when it is switched off. (Rear main switch is on of course)

But it doesn't run at full speed but falters slowly.
External. No visible defect. All cables OK, all contacts checked. Switched on and slightly shaken at the cables and circuit board --- "no effect so loose contact unlikely.
No visible water accumulation.

Machine makeshift assembled, switched on and coffee made. Program's on.

Has anyone else got an idea?
Or should I replace the motherboard? Does anyone know what the costs?

Best regards
Ralf

Hello,

According to my information the board costs approx. 450€.
Evtl. offers Miele cheaper a repair.

Thanks for the info. I will remove the board and see if all solder joints are OK.

Hello,

>it is not likely to be located at a solder joint,
but at a defective component.
If it is the responsible optocoupler or the
triac, then an exchange can bring success.
If it is located at the control part of the circuit board, repair is rather not possible.

If you have someone in your circle of acquaintances who is familiar with electronics, the circuit board could be fixed with little effort. It's like Black Sheep wrote. 450 Euros is not exactly little either.

Hi.. Did you manage to repair it?
Would you be able to advise me which component is defective?
I'm from Malaysia and the power board is too expensive to change, so I'm hoping for a way to repair it.
My email is rub.bish@yahoo (dot) com
Thank you very much!!
