Water does not enter the brewing unit

Thank you very much for the help. Machine is E 957-204. When inserting the brewing unit into the machine there are already problems. But have set the drive wheel to the correct position with the double combination. When fetching coffee, coffee is ground, but then ends up completely dry in the waste container. Water is obviously not fed into the brewing unit. However, the steam works excellently. Machine was also previously decalcified. But I had taken the brewing unit out and removed the intake hose and put it back on.
Does anyone have an idea?

Check drainage valve, it is a quite common problem look like.
