Hello everyone. So now that my machine has been working for almost 3 months without any incident and I am really happy with it I have a problem again since today! The machine has been humming for the last three days! And today water was leaking out. So... Machine taken off power and opened. After the power went out, she kept humming. The humming comes from the back of the pump (this little red thing called E Type Ex5). The noise it makes is an even humming, high frequency. Only when I turn the water off completely does the pump stop humming. Since I don't leave any screw unused I disassembled the pump but couldn't find anything. My first tip is the pump, my second idea is any valve that doesn't close properly and simply supplies the pump with water.

I would be very grateful for ideas and repair tips as always!

Hello Fips001,

Check out the brewing valve next to the pump. If the valve does not close properly, the brewer runs full of water.
This also generates a humming noise.
The valve can be completely disassembled. Possibly the rubber seal on the valve core is leaking or a lime scale has gotten lost. Have you also had water in the set container??
I have never had a vibratory armature pump leaking

Ps. Check out the tubing. The Bistro Easy has no valve between the tap and the pump. This goes directly through the inlet group into the pump flow meter flow heater and then to the 1st valve the 3 way brewing valve. That won't close properly and keep filling the brewer until it overflows.
