Our C5 has a problem recently.

After switching on, both selector switches flash and behind the flap top left and bottom middle. (Water and descaling ?)

I can then put a cup under the hot water spout. If I run hot water, the outflow stops after 60ml. After that I turn the switch back and it still flashes as before.

I took the flowmeter apart and cleaned it. It has passage and when you blow it you can also hear that the impeller is turning. Since the delivery also stops after 60ml, I assume that the flowmeter is ok. Tubes are not mixed up either wink.gif

The DLEH has 37.5 Ohm. There is no voltage and the water is cold.

You got any more advice for me?

If you have good descaler I would fill a little in the water tank instead of water.
Did you take out the hoses on the flowmeter If they are back in place?

Update :

Descale the machine with a good decalcifier and check again that the tubes are sitting correctly on the machine. The error pattern is still the same.

Since the hot water stops reliably after 60ml, I assume that the flowmeter including the message to the control unit works basically. (Or does the machine do this by the duty cycle of the pump ?)

What is "good descaler"?

The pump runs for a certain time.
Just had a look. At the bottom right is the filter indicator. You got a
filter in there?

What happens if you press the button longer

?

Descaler :

This was a sachet of "Reinex Quick Descaler" with amidosulfonic acid dissolved in water. Then you should let half of it run through and rinse it after 10 minutes.

I let it sit for 30 minutes and rinsed two tanks of water.

The thermal resistor has 10.81 kOhm, so it is neither short-circuited nor open, which does not indicate a defect.

We do not use a filter and have never used one before. The machine has always been descaled when requested.

Since I do not have a service manual :

How can I check if the flowmeter works? I measured 4.8 V at the two outer pins and also 4.8 V in the middle against one of the outer pins. In my opinion, it does not look completely broken. Is the flowmeter giving off pulses as it passes through? And if so, can you measure them with the multimeter or do I have to use an oscillator?

So... Update : after checking and cleaning the flowmeter, I removed it yesterday and cleaned it completely. Afterwards it worked again. It seemed as if the impeller didn't turn at all. So I put some food safe grease on the hub and cleaned the nozzle at the inlet with a needle. Let's see how long it lasts.

After that the ventilation was already running. Now I still have to find out why the hot water instead of coffee runs directly into the drip tray. That sounds like a faulty hose or a leaky connection.

First of all, thank you for your help.

After all. I wouldn't grease the flowmeter, though. Hope that the next mistake is not already in the near future.

Take out the marc bowl, press the switch on the inside right with an object and get a coffee. I suspect a drainage valve. The white cap on the plunger must be firmly in place. Must not come off
