Ready and cleaning symbols flash

Because the coffee no longer landed at the outlet but in the drip tray, I replaced the defective trigger for the drainage valve.
The machine now does not start when I switch it on, but the symbols Ready and Cleaning flash alternately
.

Is there an explanation for this behaviour?
