Krups 7230 releases pressure into tablet tray

Posted by: Hiropro October 11, 2014 01:32 pm

Hello everyone,
I have a Krups Espresseria Automatic Type 7230 with the following problem. When the brewing process is finished and the brewing tank opens, a strong pressure wave escapes upwards into the taplet shaft. Looking into the machine, without a cover in the tablet compartment, steam and coffee leftovers almost splashed in my face and landed under the blanket. I have opened the machine, it is correspondingly dirty with coffee leftovers. This can't be normal. Does anyone know the problem?

Hello,

>Probably there is a blockage or the drainage valve is no longer working correctly. Check / clean the components (brewing piston, brewing ram, drainage valve and hoses) accordingly.

I also suspect there's a constipation. I guess I'll have to take the machine apart and clean it.

A possible candidate is a hose leading from the radiator to the drainage valve.
The hose is bent as you can see on the picture. I have turned the hose a little so that the kink is almost eliminated. Let's see if that's enough. Where do you get hoses like that? There's no such thing in hardware stores.

In addition, the lower sealing ring of the pressure cylinder is slightly crumbled off.

I have assembled the machine and lo and behold, it releases the pressure again into the collecting tray. So it was the bent hose.

Hope you have renewed the two piston seals too.

If you have already ordered, I have assembled the device for testing purposes only. But it also works with a ring. smile.gif
