Hello
have problems with my AEG Caffee Silenzio.
Brew group is in lower position and does not move.
LED for 1 cup and 2 cups + warning triangle light up
On or off or plugging does not bring any improvement ... same problem!
Removed the rear panel of the machine, turned BG by hand to start position, removed, cleaned, greased and replaced ... then switched on the machine,
BG moves to lower position and the 3 above LEDs light up.
Service called and machine set to test mode (1 cup + steam + plug in).
BG cannot be run up or down in test mode.
Service means power electronics shot.
Then new LE. ordered and installed ... same error as before!! mad.gif mad.gif>
White no more, are there limit switches or something like that ?
Request for help!!!

Of course there's a limit switch.
Back from below, a double white wire goes up. Separate at the separation point. This is the easiest way to check the function of the switch.

Hello,
a microswitch is at the location but not.
Is this the board with the reed relay which serves as a magnetic switch?
A flat cable with 3 wires goes to the LE here.
Can the reed board cause the error?

Trace the two white wires to the drive.....schwupps, there's the limit switch.

Thanks first!
Have found it, but you can't hide it better.
Measured to resistance with a multimeter at the separation point.
(High impedance to normal position)
Then BG turned down by hand, switches through when BG is almost down (low impedance)
switch so OK!
microswitch on passage when BG is down.
Motor I have also measured through with a contact about 235 Ohm, should be OK.
My conclusion would be reed board defective?

The upper limit switch, which is an opener, is located on the top side of the thermoblock. If it's permanently open, you have that error symptom, too.

How do you get to it?
Have removed the back wall and base plate. Is that enough
Is it possible to measure the possible separation point as below?

Hello,
remove sidewall and top cover.
measure the switch now.
low resistance at BG in normal position. When I press the switch it becomes high-impedance!
should it be the other way round!

Machine is running again!!
I pressed the switch several times and then simply plugged it in and
let it run and you're amazed:
You're running again !!! rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

I'd change both switches.

Okay, the top switch is easy to change, I'll order with it. The BG isn't the best either. Spreads coffee powder in the interior frequently. (sluggish)
The lower switch is also attached to the drive and is difficult to change one at a time.

In the case of BG, simple revision is sufficient. If this has never been done before, the downforce will eventually be due. Removing the drive is not a big deal.
