Brewing unit cannot be removed

Hello together,

I replaced the brewing unit of my fully automatic machine, Melitta No 74. Now I wanted to make coffee and only hot water came out. When I wanted to remove the brewing unit afterwards, I noticed that the brewing unit was bombproof and could no longer be removed. Does anyone know the problem and how can I fix it?

Super "addi"... That's a great contribution. I thought I remembered that there is a forum for exchanging experiences. We can all call the service only until you have boxed your way through, you can also look into the Internet.

By the way, I would have liked to read something about this article, because I have the same problem.

I'm sorry to say that the Melitta Caffee 84 is the last shit. Ask me who constructs such devices and then asks for so much money. If I would sell such badly commodity with me on company, then our enterprise would have had to close already.

I release my stuck brewing units as follows.

Operate door contact with a knife. Door's open. Press and hold the lever up on the right, the button down on the left, press the bartack down and then switch on the machine.

The first self-test when the motor starts, assuming the 3 locks are open, should the part fall towards you.

I start the machine.
And during the starting process I pull the plug. Then
the brewing unit can be removed again.
Of course I still wonder:
How can something like this happen ?
I must have shifted something quite a bit.

Is that a question...?

The brewing unit can already be removed... however, it could get stuck due to a defect that requires a specialist.

Does the device normally run smoothly...?

unfortunately I can't give you an answer, I have the same problem. In addition, the lever, which must be swivelled from 6:00 to approx. 8:00 to remove the brewing unit, cannot be returned to the 8:00 position once it has engaged.

Hello, I just read the post do not know if your problem is already solved had with my barista the same problem had only tried with button combination of a switch and my coffee button for more than two seconds but had no success with it.my problem was bigger machine screwed on motor separated from the board and 9volt battery or transformer directly the motor controlled and drive down should work normally with me came in addition that the motor did not turn anymore because there was so much coffee grounds in the drive so i had to remove the drive while driving down take care that the left pin of the drive disk hits the micro switch so you get the brewing unit back in basic position then you can take it out again.

Thank you very much, Peter,
I have
done
the keystroke without
success.

The customer service only had the advice to

send in

the fully automatic machine

.

Then gentle force helped. The cause of the blockage was friction between the drive gear rim inside the machine and the toothed shaft of the brewing unit. Both are made of plastic, and that's where the problem lies: the lubricant was wiped off when cleaning the brewing unit, and since plastic does not slide on plastic, the blockage occurred

Thanks for the tip! That worked perfectly!

Thank you very much. Even with my machine, gentle force helped. After cleaning and reinstalling everything runs again
