ECAM 23.450 Milk foam preparation loud humming noise

Our Ecam 23.450, which is now 12 years old, suddenly has problems with the milk foam preparation. At first it was only occasional and now for a few days almost daily.

The milk foam preparation starts normally, then less foam is dispensed and finally there is no more foam at all and a loud humming noise starts.

The machine was descaled regularly and the upper brewing piston was also descaled every two times. So far, I have only had to replace the upper brewing piston and the seals on the connector in the 12 years.



Where could the fault be?
