Good evening,
my grandmother is in possession of a Melitta Caffeo solo. Now she has poured water into the bean container, so there is now also water in the grinder.
A coffee preparation is no longer possible. Only the machine indicates that the coffee beans are to be refilled.
Now I have dared to repair the machine myself and disassembled it completely. I also completely dismantled the grinder and cleaned it from the wet coffee residues.
Now I assumed that everything works again, but after the complete assembly and a test run I have to find out that still no coffee is prepared. I once looked at the preparation process at "open" machine and had to find out that little, until no coffee at all is ground and a smelly smell is perceptible.
I now strongly assume that the grinder is over.
My question now is whether it makes sense to buy a new grinder. Because all other functions of the coffee machine are still intact, unfortunately only no coffee is ground, which is why they acknowledge this with "Please fill in beans".
I would like to save myself the costs for a cost estimate and wage costs by installing a grinder myself.
How the machine can be opened and how the disassembly/assembly works I know now.
I would be very happy about an answer.
