Hello Markus,
my opinion was that a wrong decision. I'm sorry if I write it so directly.
Despite congratulations on Siemens, which admittedly looks really nice.
Although you won't be very interested anymore.
The WMF 800 is replaced by the 900, but it doesn't matter, because the technology that matters remains unchanged. Currently, both WMF 800 and 900 are being sold simultaneously.
I myself own the 900, but would not have had a problem with the 800. The negative points that you have from various forums and the test at Stiftung Warentest (the test is not worth the paper on which it is written) are absolutely irrelevant in daily use. The coffee, cappu etc. can be adjusted to your own taste. All possibilities are available (cup size, coffee quantity, water quantity, milk quantity, brewing temperature, etc.). The longer heating time is due to the internal boilers, where other machines only have a simple thermoblock. I've already explained about Schaerer's solid brew group. Then there's the better disc mill. In addition, the WMF is a real one-touch machine.
All in all, the WMF is the much more solid, durable machine, with which you have a good chance of being satisfied even after years, while others have normally long since been phased out.
This may all sound a bit like WMF fanboy now. But I can assure you that I write all this out of conviction and that I don't really care about the brand. I'm also not an employee of WMF
