Hello, I just can't get any further.

Machine reports immediately after switching on and rinses:

>too finely ground ...

and then immediately:

Insert water outlet and press o.k.

I've done, there comes then first powerful steam followed by hot water and
after completion it goes back again immediately into the above error messages. Water comes but nothing is clogged.

I noticed that it röchelt quite long when hot water was spent. As if the pass doesn't close. It runs then also a large surge after.

Ab and manages to display the device once ready for coffee, but after a cup immediately again the same errors.

complete thermoblock and brewing group new, black drain hose and its muzzle channel to the drip tray absolutely free there cleaned.
Steam heating is free and shows 54.8Ohm, so it should also be OK.

When descaling it makes a short output with descaling mixture and then wants to rinse immediately!?!
Not normal either, because actually in certain time intervals
Descaling mixture is output and when the tank is empty is prompted to rinse.

Bin perplexed.

Are there any readings for a working flowmeter?
Can it be a solenoid valve, if so which one at the front or rear?
How can I measure them and what values must they have?
can it be a failure of the motherboard?

>br>In test mode everything is fine:

EV1 on
EV2 on

and both clatter too.

Bin grateful for any hint.

Google times after "decalcification of the upper brewing flask". Could contribute to the solution.

Otherwise often only the connections of the flowmeter are corroded and it then delivers wrong values, simply disconnect the plug.

Or the pump is weak.

The error message states that too little water is being transported in the specified time.

Hello feuer.stein,

first time thanks for your answer.

The thermoblock was completely new including brewing piston purchased and installed.

Had it, however, with enkalkt with.

The water comes absolutely unhindered during rinsing and hot water output.

>This is now the 3 ESAM 5500 and can therefore compare this.
The pump does not sound tired, but pumps freely.

The progress bar in the display does not rise during rinsing and water output.
Why the box is a devil when it comes to only one calcification output and then wants to rinse immediately?
What defect can this indicate.

The connections of the flowmeter look like new.
Nothing clogged either, it was open and blown through.

will order and test a new incl. cable on suspicion.

Can anyone post the ohmic resistance of a functioning flowmeter?

Can the solenoid valves also be defective although they clack?

Thank you in advance to all those who help.

Blow into the black rubber hose that hangs on the side of the BG. It has to be absolutely continuous.

Hello looser,

prima from you to hear, have helped me with my last problem already very much.

Had already written in my 1st post that the black hose and its muzzle channel down to the drip tray is absolutely clean and free running.

I had already bought the device with the error message, because I had suspected exactly this simple error and was of the opinion to repair it just as simple again.

So the error existed even before the installation of the new thermoblock, but the black hose was not clogged there already.

Can someone calm me down and exclude a defect in the power or control board?

OK, I've overlooked it. Got a little stress right now...

Do you have a power meter? Plug this in and leave the machine out. Is there anything displayed?
Or measure with the multimeter on the steam heater. Is there voltage when it is switched off? Beware of voltage!!!

I had the same mistake with a Perfecta that was just 1.5 years old.
The service hadn't found anything.
After I had everything else (similar to you) through, I simply disconnected the cable from the flowmeter (on both sides), plugged it back in again and the mistake was gone.

On a 3600 it was the pump. Also sounded "normal", but had apparently not pumped the required amount of water... Another pump and the mistake was gone.

So, short test after your answers.

Performance test with switched on device resulted after measurement with multimeter
at the steam heater 218V. Assuming I measured correctly, because further measurements resulted in 0 V. But it's damn hot.

The tip of feuer.stein changed the situation.
My previous owner had plugged the plug in the wrong way.
Only 2 of 3 pins were occupied by the plug. The connector was connected offset by 1 pin
up rolleyes.gif

Had so far only checked the connector directly at the flowmeter and it was OK.

Now I came up to the coffee issue.

Here I set 1 strong espresso for testing.

Grinder runs in the right length and fineness.

Then I somehow lacked the pre-brewing which started with short activity of the pump followed by felt 1-2 sec. pause and then followed by the main brewing up to the set water amount.

I now have the following:

Display shows 1 espresso, stronger aroma and equal to main brewing cycle
(water quantity is not correct because half pot is not full)

Then the process is briefly interrupted, the loading bar
appears in the display and the brewing process is continued.

The loading bar is rising so slowly that I could fill a pot without problems, the water tank wouldn't be empty before.

While note, that was the espresso.

2. try 2 big cups and very strong aroma, result the same.

But flowmeter defective?

Bin tense when the ordered end of the week is there, which happens then.

Maybe the reed contact got one by the faulty plugging...
We wait for the new flowmeter.

Short feedback.

>The new flowmeter is not yet there, but I have tried a working used one from a Talea.

Result: no change in the coffee brewing behaviour and the incorrect coffee quantity.

When rinsing after switching on, the progress bar runs so slowly that it reaches 2 gr. Coffee pots water rinses.

When rinsing while switching off then correct quantity.

Coffee output quantity is in each case 2 times large pot with short break in the middle.
It doesn't matter whether espresso or very large coffee was selected.

I have now ordered a new control panel and contact me again after the test.

So, I'm absolutely at a loss now.

I've tested 3 flowmeters now. No improvement.

Have ordered and installed a brand new control unit and a brand new power board.
No change.

The water quantity is still not correct.

Then the pump was changed, even without success.

Decalcification was now correct.

Rinsing quantity when switching on = 3/4 water container

All coffee sizes and strengths the same and approx. 500 ml.

>Mir does not know which part this faulty water quantity can still trigger.

device is now sold as defective.

Thanks to all who wanted to help.

OK, as I thought.
Plug the water pipes around the flowmeter.
