Good morning, I have another problem now. After the brewing unit has NOT been cleaned and the brewing unit has NOT been cleaned any more - as if by reading a lot, the buttons "Melita solo ready lamp" and "cleaning program" now light up (flash). I already called the hotline - apparently the brewing unit wasn't locked properly (????) - but it's inside - and we can put the lever in the vertical position. HELP !!!! WHAT CAN WE DO ??? taken off the plug umpteen times - on / off and brewing unit in and out ...... Thank you very much for an info

Viiiiiiiiiiiiiiy many thanks! Has worked! Will now clean the inside of the wheel still very precisely... Think that was with the reason for the error!

Even five years later the contribution of spooner on page 1 saved me the weekend. The small switch in the opening had to be pressed with the device switched on, red unlock lever in the correct position and then it worked. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I have to say that the Melitta support on the phone has already helped me very nicely and competently. But it's much better this way.

A big thank you for this great tip! Had also followed the system error 8, Spooner's instructions and now everything runs again. Yoo-hoo :D

I had the same mistake with me this morning, for the first time.
coffee maker on, strange noises, red display, system chiller no. 8.
I immediately came across this page and tried it, but it didn't work. No problem. No problem. It's Monday morning, so I called the hotline.
I didn't know that the machine had to be fully operational. The drip tray was not inside! instructions followed with the two switches simultaneously and lo and behold, my coffee for today is saved.
Thank you Melitta. Gives a good review for the great uncomplicated and friendly service.

The reset with EIN and MY just worked for me as well ... but I had to repeat it once ... afterwards I could put the brewing unit back in and lock it. Thank you the tip tongue.gif

If anyone else has the problem:

had called the Melitta hotline today,
which in my opinion is the best hotline in the world,
what about waiting time, competence etc., that just by the way.....biggrin.gif

In any case, the good woman at the other end advised me to switch on the appliance with the brewing group
removed, then at the top right of the large drive wheel,
which sits rather centrally, in the pear-shaped recess,
in which you can see a white plastic part, press down on it until you reach a
switch/button. If you press it, the device beeps,
then keep it pressed until the wheel turns back and forth and comes to a standstill
.Now insert the brewing group again, lock it and it's done!
In any case it worked for me. I hope I could or can
help someone with it.

Hello,

I first brewed and cleaned the coffee machine's brewing group today. Then back inside and start the coffee machine. Then you heard some strange noises. On the display red light and "system error 8". Then I switched off the appliance again and pulled out the brewing group again. Here comes the problem...I couldn't use the flowering group anymore, because it doesn't fit... I think it's super funny.

Could someone tell me how I can repair it myself, or I should have the device repaired in the repair shop.

The machine still has warranty, but in a workshop the repair probably takes a long time....

I thank you in advance for the answers.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKS
You saved the day! I have a barista and the troubleshooting worked there too. biggrin.gif

Leider ohne Kaffee

Super - this tip! After the My+On/Off switch didn't work for me (anymore), the drive initialized immediately and I could use the BG again. Many thanks
