Hello,

Check if the NTC still sticks to the thermoblock/brewing unit. It falls off a little. If not, fasten with thermal adhesive.

If yes, is the NTC still properly wired to the power electronics? If not, repair the wiring (solder joints, plug connections).

Is the heating defective? Resistance should be about 45 ohms. If defective, replace thermoblock/brewing unit.

Hello,

I have the same problem with the error code 09.
I probably have two contacts sticking to the thermoblock (is that the NTC?).
I tried to glue them now with thermal adhesive. It went again briefly, the error was gone and when I switched on the machine a little later it was there again.
My question? /forums/...ges/1/icon9.gif
What kind of thermal adhesive do you use, 1K or 2K? I have very cheap 1K glue (in the bay for 3€ / 5g). Is more silicone-like and has not been particularly confidence-inspiring?

Many thanks!

Hello,

the question above was from me. Now I have rather announced myself, one finds a lot of good tips in this forum. Thanks for that wink.gif

I've done some research now and the Artic Silver is supposed to be a good thermal adhesive. But not the complete NTC sensor has replaced itself but only the two contacts (see picture).

Can I glue the contacts with the Artic Silver as well?
I or my wife would be very happy about an answer soon. After my "repair" we have since about 2 weeks only soluble coffee at home sad.gif

Many thanks!

The picture is not from me. I copied it here from the forum to show what I'm about. Hope this fits Have happy.gif

Hello everyone,

I have the same problem. My EA 8250 has lost one of its contacts. On the subject of soldering, someone has already written here in the forum that he then broke the NTC. Whether sticking here serves the purpose ... I don't know.

I hope someone has a solution, because that's why throwing the machine away ... sad.gif

Sorry I just saw that kaffee.albert has a separate article about this, which was also answered. If anyone has already made contact with the NTC again, I'd be interested, HOW.

Even if the article is already a bit outdated.
Had the problem with the Krups XP 7240 (error code 09).
As the board is glued ...
I had therefore tried to glue the connectors on it with a heat conductive adhesive first, which didn't work, though ... Furthermore the error message.
The contacts (circled red on the picture) "must" be soldered. You can't break much there. I've had a lot of attempts. Best with a very hot soldering iron ... ours was set to 450 degrees and at any rate with soldering flux. Since it was as good as impossible for me to fix the contacts on the board in time before the soldering wire was fixed again, I simply put the soldering wire with soldering flux on the board and then put the soldering wire on the plug connection again and then simply held the soldering iron on the plug connection while it was already held on the board with pliers. It definitely worked. Optically no masterpiece. The insulation still fits.

When switching on for the first time, the error message was displayed again after heating up for a longer period ... just pull the plug and turn it on again and tada it works again.

If this reads here jmd and should have security concerns now he can contact you. Otherwise all the others who prefer to try themselves good luck.

The 45 Ohm I had, by the way, not... Mine was at 41,4 Ohm ... think a bit of tolerance is included.
