Hello together,

I have had a Jura Impressa F50 for ten years now and am more than happy with it.

For some time now I have noticed a strange phenomenon in the coffee business. When brewing coffee, the coffee is nice brown for about 2 seconds, then it quickly becomes lighter until only water comes in.
The marc is also relatively dry and crumbly afterwards, so no moist solid "tab" as usual. The pomace quantity and consistency is the same as always, but not wet enough.

Does the water make a bow around the coffee after two seconds? Cleaning and descaling was without success so far.

Save my morning coffee ;-)

Greetings from Cologne

Daniel

I'd clean the brewing strainer first. It is best to reach behind the trestle scoop with a damp cloth, feel the brewing sieve and wipe it off.
That the coffee becomes lighter relatively quickly is perfectly normal.

Yes, it tastes thinner, but otherwise normal.

I have cleaned the brewing sieve before, I try to clean it with a toothbrush.

You can't get too good at it without completely disassembling the machsine...

Unfortunately not so much, coffee is still too thin.

The grinder is still on "delivery" in middle position.

Is there anyone in the Cologne area who can repair it cheaply? If so, what do you spend on average?

...As long as you're skilled, it makes sense to learn these skills.
