Hello .....

have decalcified my Jura Impressa S9, afterwards the electronics are always a little bit spinning, because the contacts at the collection tray are completely soaked, I suppose simply.
This time she means it but especially well:
It always comes Error5.
Then I turn off the machine, turn it on again, then the message > Fill water tank and then fill system, then it heats up and then Error 5.
Always comes back ....

Maybe someone has an idea?

Were great

Greetings
Günter

Hello Günter,

is the thermoblock still warm, or remains cold?
fault 5 means: temperature not reached.
can be a defective temperature sensor or a defective temperature fuse.

So ...
my law workshop in the neighboring town says the heater is broken, that's completely blown. So also the sensor will be broken and probably some other things that will come to light.
You could, however, send it directly to Jura and there it will be completely repaired at a flat rate (with box 257,- €, I think).

Now my consideration is whether this is worth it.
My Impressa S9 OneTouch is from 2008. It is used daily, about 8 cups, from time to time even more. half only coffee, the other half cappuccino.

How do you rate that?

If you do not intend to repair the device yourself and get familiar with the technology, the original Jura Service is definitely recommended..
Better than having it repaired in a workshop around the corner, the Jura Service would also maintain and repair parts for the flat rate that are outside the tolerances due to wear and tear.

There the device is properly serviced... if there was no maintenance for a longer time it makes sense.

Hello Günter,

I would contact the Jura Central Service directly. The repair lump sum for your model is 180,- Euro plus shipping costs. Best to read it again on the homepage of Jura.

Thanks for your answers

Your hint with the direct handling is great. I looked it up. Actually "only" 180.- € for the S9 One Touch, plus shipping and Karon.
All in all I would save almost 60.- Euro.

But I'm also concerned about whether it is worth it. How long does an Impressa with already described use last on average? She is now almost 6 years old or young.
Lasts as long again or .... ?

With good care, 15 years and 50,000 covers are not uncommon in a Jura.
They are among the most durable devices of all..which is why such a service is also worthwhile.
