Hey guys,

I got the fully-automatic Cafe Bonitas - New Star yesterday. I have filled the water tank and engaged it correctly, but the display shows the error message "VENT" when starting the unit. Someone an idea how to solve the problem here,

Best regards Edinburgh

Hello Edin, hear the pump or not, otherwise you'll have to take a disposable syringe and force vent it. It could be that the pump has no water and so no negative pressure can build up.

hey thanks for the answer. I don't hear much when I turn on the machine.
How does that work for exactly with the disposable syringe?
Don't really have much idea of fully automatic coffee machines, is my first one.

Before you disassemble and tinker with the new machine, what exactly do you do to carry out the initial commissioning? The request "Ventilation" usually means that you have to open the hot water tap - do you do that?

Hi Manuel!

I follow the steps in the manual.
I fill the water tank, engage it properly and then turn on the machine.
According to the instructions, the machine should start the rinsing process automatically. But unfortunately it doesn't do it here, I just get the error message "Vent" on the display.
When I look in the manual under "Vent", then it simply says that the water tank must be properly engaged so that this message disappears.

Surely you have a hot water outlet or where you can froth up milk.
So you will use the water tank and place a cup under the hot water/steam cover/milk frother, then open the control for hot water. If the water comes, your advertisement "Bleed" has disappeared.
If you take a disposable syringe then you have to push the water in there where the water tank outlet goes in.

The message "Vent" usually results from an incorrectly placed tank, but to solve the problem, the pump must start to fill the system. So: draw hot water!

i press on hot water in the menu, hear a clack and then after 2-3 seconds the error message venting

LG

Edit appears again: so i press on hot water then there is such a noise, sounds like a "click" (maybe from the pump?), after 2-3 seconds then such a "clack" and the error messages "vent" appears again.

Is the pump humming audibly? If it does not start at all, you should return the device immediately...

Thanks for the help, will be returned tomorrow. Let's see if I want to have a vending machine from them at all.

Can you send a replacement with a clear conscience.

Having since last week also the model and for the price so far really unbeatable.
(Depending on how long it lasts of course - but looks for me everything very neat)
