Hello,

my ESAM 6600 is spinning. If you go on water, it just crackles, but it doesn't happen anymore.
The cup warmer gets warm.

Coffee brewing also works great and without problems.

>many thanks for your help.

Do the two solenoid valves work?

You can go to test mode:

Pull power plug
Press "2 small cups" and "2 large buttons" simultaneously
Plug power plug in

Is this on the display or is the action also executed? Heaters get hot, valves crack.....

I once did it like this:

WARNING: High voltage in the device! - PREViously pull the plug when working on the open device.

  • open machine (unscrew fairings)
  • trace the path from steam generator to steam outlet
  • loosen the hose in front of a valve and lead the loose end of the hose into a bottle
  • li>then generate steam in test mode and observe whether steam comes out of the loose end of the hose
If "before" the valve is still observed steam, "after" the valve is no longer, it is probably defective.

WARNING: High voltage in the unit! - DO NOT TIGHT THE PREVIOUS POWER CONNECTOR when working on the unit.

Have looked directly at it again.

EV1 doesn't click, because pipts only.

you can assume, that the defect is?

must do: Steam heating on: button "Rinse" also what to hear?
it only indicates.

Possibly only the coil is defective. Used you get the cheap.
The brewing group must be at the top so that water is pumped in test mode.

Ah, so let's take a look at the coil.

Is there a guide of photos where the EV1 is located?

Thank you already.

Yeah, it's a three-way valve. Read the description in the shops carefully, because the new ones are with plastic body.
